@Grogyan thank you for taking the time to reply. This will be my last comment as I think there is no point having a argument over this.
Quite the opposite, I Know how to fully maximize them, was the whole reason I raised it as a massive problem.
How do you feel about the gold settlement? I have spent real money to have that upgraded when I started. If I pay more I can upgrade it fully to give me one 4-dice cards per resource every 4 hours. That is a lot more useful than a handful of tokens which I understand you can only buy once a day.
Or how about extra back pack capacity? If you max it out you can craft a full load of high VP build cards and come and swamp any competing regions in one trip. 61 Archive cards and 61 Festival Hall cards played in one go in a settlement is going to have a lot more of an impact than some one flying in 3 times a day.

Actually I don't agree. But this is not about spoofers. It is about the actual feature in the game. I think it is very very disingenuous to tar some one as a cheater because you do not like some one using a game feature as intended.
Please stop to think what would happen if in Ingress, the Drone would be used to score Mind Units.
Where d you think my attack gear comes from for the last year? I have used this gear to take down many many fields. And other gear to build others fields. Only thing I cant get is a key If you think a drone has no impact on game play you better look again. For example a direct impact of the drone is hunting farms is now pretty useless. Park the drone and farm totally invisibly.
It would utterly destroy it. Ingress would cease to be a strategy game.
It changed and we adopted.
So no I don't accept either of these hypotheses. Pre-drone I had a real gear drought. Not any more. There are plenty of RES or ENL R8s around that I am have always been at capacity for the last 12 months.
I also disagree that the totem has a substantial impact on the game say compared to the ingress drone, but I also don't use totems often.
But my point that you accusing everyone who is using the totem as cheats is uncalled for and disingenuous. They are using a game feature that it avaible to all including you. You not deciding to use it does not make them cheats. I think the people who were called cheats for using the totem deserve an unreserved apology.
Proposal for a Demolition card.
This demolition card would destroy a building built in a settlement.
It would be a minimum tier 2 so as not to be accessible to new players the first few days.
You couldn't get it when discovering a resource center, by a crane or a staple house.
It would have a high cost of use to avoid fierce fights for a settlement.
Several hundred RPs could be associated with 1 resource of each type to build the map.
Each card would destroy a constructed building.
So it would take 7 cards to destroy a level 2 market.
Vp not calculating properly towards regions
I have placed 4 cards on my personal settlement since the new season started.
1 was when the old regions were still showing
3 were when the new regions came in
The first 1 I placed when the old regions showed never showed up but the 2nd card I played did. My 3rd card then didn't show up and my 4th card did.
My current region shows 2 vp for wolves but 4 vp total for me. I'm doing everything out of the same settlement (my personal settlement) while I'm at home.

There was a voting about this and grand majority of people wanted to see local competition highlighted more. On that level any team can have a chance just by playing wisely and more strategically, I think.
Global competition is meaningless as it just depends on the number of players in different factions. Giving Eagles more points for same amount of gameplay as others makes no sense. Whatever balance you find to make competition as even as possible just nullifies all the effect of players’ gameplay as it would just be about who gets the most free points.
If you are the biggest team on global level any other result than victory each season wouldn’t be fair towards that team. And if you are the smallest you will lose every time. That’s basic statistics. And if it doesn’t happen like that it’s artificial.
Local however doesn’t have such statistical convergence. Recruiting a few new active people to your team can turn the table entirely. 🙂
Please just remove the EP rewards and achievement for global competition. It’s nice one to see but means nothing.

Very fast sprint seasons sometimes. Sometimes very long seasons. That would keep it interesting.

I am totally missing the point of the argument here. For the record I rarely use tokens unless I am accessing my gold settlement from the while traveling overnight.
These same tools that bad Pokémon GO players developed, are also used with Wizard's Unite. A game that does not make a whole lot of sense to Spoo f with. But they did, and again, the game design direction changed, and I lost interest in what it had become
i.e Bad actors are using tools not available to all players to gain an unfair advantage. We all agree without hesitation that is is bad and should be stooped.
This season, with the costs of the Totems, on the surface, appears to be quite aggre ssive. And helps to solve the issue of cheating. Keeping in mind that there are bad actors who use 3rd party software to gain an unfair advantage. Some middle ground had to be carefully considered.
Using totems is not cheating. You have equal access to totems as evey one else. Equating using a game mechanic as it is intended is not even remotely cheating. If you think it is you are just very very wrong.
Therefore reducing the use of tokens is not reducing cheating.
If some one is using a game feature as intended to win they are just playing the game better than you. Otherwise I really should complain about players using brick harvested from the region next to me when brick is a rare resource here.
The low price for Totem Tokens, along with gaining VP with them, meant they were open to abuse. Something that I raised as a massive problem when the Totem was announced.
What is stopping you gaining VP with tokens? This is fair and intended game play. I know you play ingress. This is bit like complaining when some uses intel to plan a field it is unfair on people who don't want to use intel. Or people who refuse to glyph becuase it is a "new" feature.
Pay-to-Spoo f with Totems is, still an unfair advantage to those who do not have a lot of money to spend, even though it is a feature. To me was obvious that it wasn't fully thought out about the implications of it.
So using a specific game feature is now spoofing because you do not know how to use them effectively as them. 🙄
What is the point of Support?
Your support people are very nice and polite but ultimately tell us to come back to Report a Bug on this forum for EVERYTHING that's reported to them. They've also said they are unable to solve any of the problems reported to them (missing Daily Quest, missing Daily Dice, missing rewards, lost streak). So why not do away with that button if we need to come here all the time anyway?

Game services unable to be reached
This morning took over an hour to get logged into game. Played a bit until on a settlement it froze completely and I had to close game.

Argh, what a shocker. Rebalance = fair enough, but you completely nuked it!
This will put all the advantage back to players who frequent city centres... bringing home cards, dice, resources to spent in their home regions... now the suburban based players have no chance to resource up!
Not a fan at all.
Also. After the first week of a season, most of us have discovered all the resources/settlements near us. So the ONLY was to complete those catanian quests is by the totem. By the new costs, a 'Find 10 Settlements' quest, would take more than 5 days of hard quest completion...

This change makes me sad. I'm not sure who gave feedback about totems previously, or when, but it wasn't me. I thought they were great as they were.
Living somewhere without large number of PoIs in easy walking distance the totem was really useful. This change breaks it and I'm not sure what it achieves.
Oh well, I guess that's the purpose of Beta, to keep testing and changing.
