After completing a mini game, I find the next mini game being suggested is almost never what I want.
A simple solution could be that the game would return to the backpack when you press done. Currently it returns to the map, then I manually tap the backpack, both of which can take a while to load.

Agreed.
As for the suggested game, if there are any more cards in your bag matching the one you just played, that should be the suggestion. Otherwise, the closest match in order of:
1) resource, then
2) number of dice

if i need more resources via the get more resource button froma contribute/craft mode to play mini games, i want the choice to pick one instead,of a random crapshoot....
Exactly @Wind , the mini-game chosen is very rarely the best choice to get you the resources you need.
